DH's birthday - good men's brands?

Slight panic in that it's DH's birthday on Monday. I was planning to give him money towards a computer he wants, but he's decided against it.

He rarely buys clothes so I thought I'd buy him either one really nice thing or a couple of cheaper bits (budget is £75). His style is casual, he used to like Carharrt, Diesel, that kind of thing, but he feels that he doesn't know how to dress for his age any.more (he's 36). He hates visible logos and slogans, but will wear printed designs.

So, any suggestions?

If it was me, I'd probably like a more expensive piece like a casual jacket or premium jeans brand. The cheaper bits and pieces I tend to pick up myself.

As for his style, I can't really advise you. I'm an old git of a certain age, but that never affects what I like to wear. Urban Outfitters might be worth a look.

Allsaints do some nice bits.

Howies do a great range of clothes, casual but my partner generally ends up wearing their trousers and jumpers to work. Really good quality, we have many items which have been worn to death for 6-7 years and they're still going strong.

dh likes timberland. it's a bit less run of the mill than places like fat face.
