Desperate for Summer Coat/mac

I have been everywhere and can't find a lighweight coat/mac for summer. Preferably shower-proof'ish. And definitely not a trench coat. Anyone any ideas??

Aren't these all trench coats (sorry - showing my ignorance hereSmile)? What's the difference between a trench coat and a mac? No belt?

i dont really think you get a shower proof coat that isnt a mac/trench, thats the problem

Think \link{http://www.landsend.co.uk/icat/pc062883\this} is what I think of as a mac, rather than a trench coat - but I may be wrong?? Not necessarily suggesting you buy this one, but is this the sort of style?

Trench coat is a particular style of mac - epaulettes, belt, etc. Like soldiers used to wear in the trenches!

marks and spencer do great ones. got a lovely sky blue last week, three quarter length. great value. don't know where you live, but best branch is kensington high street, tho presumably you can get everything online these days.

Trench coat is genreally heavier material, collars and belted with deep pockets IMO. Mac is lighter, with or without belt.

Nailpolish - thanks, nice coat but it is a bit trench coat-y (don't want to look like a sack of spuds you see Smile!) Must rule out aqua belted mac because of belt too. Though might risk it for the £20 Tchibo pink number, thanks PiccadillyCircus. Not sure about the bowtastic one, Northerner.

JackieNo - that's the sort of thing I'm after!!

Have tried M&S here (Notts) but no luck.
