Hair appointment tomorrow - curly hair - don't know what to go for?!

Started a new job last week and while I've been at home I've been growing my hair. However, finding it looks very scruffy in the office and I don't like it tied back and can't get the hang of putting it up (sock buns etc) so decided today to make an appointment for tomorrow to have it cut.

For years and years, apart from when growing it, I've had it in a about shoulderlength curly bob. My hair is dark brown, naturally curly and frizzy, I don't like straightening it as I have a weak wrist and bad shoulder so it's just too painful all the time, plus I just don't think it suits me straight. I tend to either let it dry naturally or scrunch dry it upside down with a hair dryer.

I haven't got time to get hold of a magazine and have been scouring the net for pics. Any suggestions?

My hair has always been thick but recently I've been losing a lot of hair and last time I had it trimmed the hairdresser said it was thinning a bit Shock

I have a tendency to end up with a triangle too though. If I have layers that are too short put in, it goes really curly on top and the longer bits hang almost straight, so I have to keep the layers quite long.

I quite like that, I was thinking a bit longer. I generally have a side parting because it grows that way and I can't really have a fringe because it sticks up at the front due to a cows lick (sp?)
