Found a dress I like at last but it's sold out :-(

This one

I am maid of honour at a wedding in April, am very fussy and have spent hours browsing dresses everywhere.
40 y/o, size 14, 5'7'', decent legs, big belly (3 C-S!), dark hair.
Has anyone seen anything remotely similar? I am desperate...

I think it's so beautiful. I'm not a fan of Anthropologie at all, but the dress is stunning.

I've just seen you buy a size 14. Sorry, but I don't think a waisted dress is the best then. Haven't checked all the other links but an a line dress in that kind of material would be lovely.

ceebeegeebess link looks lovely - and it's kind of floaty, so that would work wonderfully.

noddyholder · 25/02/2013 10:04

I think the very one looks a bit cheapy for maid of honour

ToffeeDoris's one would not look good. It doesn't look good on a slim model.

PrincessOfChina · 25/02/2013 10:06

I love it. I have a very similar one from Phase Eight last year and am almost exactly the same dimensions as you.

Agree Noddy and Frogman.
And Frogman I am also a bit worried about the waisted dress. It might make my hips look ENORMOUS. Or not. It really depends where it falls on my hips/tummy. I will get control underwear but they tend to make me very uncomfortable and grumpy. Which is a bit pointless.

I actually really like the dress from jigsaw from noddy and it's a safer choice, but it's sold out in my size :-(

Am so bored of looking!

I do agree with Noddy - the Very one is lovely but I wouldn't wear it for a maid of honour (I hadn't noticed that in the OP Blush) but I would definitely recommend it for nights out Grin
