Opinions needed on this dress - would you wear it for work?

I need something smart for a conference I have to attend in a couple of weeks. And as I usually turn up for work in jeans and a top that I've just hauled out of the wash basket I don't want to spend £££ on something I'm not going to get much wear out of.

Is this too dressy/wedding-y? I've got a grey linen jacket, would that look ok?

Nope, that looks very nice indeed (and a fab price), great with a grey or black jacket, I'd go with opaque tights.

Looks way too sexy secretary for me .. I would suggest somewhere like NEXT who specialise in work clothes

I really like it - always go to a dress for easy work wear.
Only note of caution is you need to make sure it is not too 'cleavagey' depending on your particular figure

Nice colour but too plunging - can you wear a camisole under?

I wish cleavage was something I had to worry about...

YY to opaque tights - I was thinking that would make it less dressy/more business-like. I'll go and have a look at the green one.

The crepe ones are lovely actually, but sadly not in my size. I really liked the plum one.

You can wear a black vest top for modesty fwiw. I like it...black tights, cool jacket...

Found the sizing, typically not available in my size . A lovely selection of dresses though.

Agree that the one you've linked to, while a nice dress, is probably not ideal for a conference (or not the day aspect anyway).
