What happened to the loose half a stone before christmas thread? Is there one for Easter?

Because I need one.

As if by magic I've put on a dress size Sad
I'm rubbish at dieting and exercise, but this has upset me. I'd like some friends to egg me on and stop me falling off the diet (eat takeaways) and exercise (lull on the sofa) wagon...

Yes- even my old faithful always-a-little-bit-loose jeans are feeling too snug right now.

We will feel better.

Chocolate is the same colour as ...

Now if we can only think it smells like....

We will be half way there!

Ok how about we aim for 2lb a week and weigh ins on Monday?

Just had an email from my friends who I see rarely, they are all single and stunning, we're going out for dinner on the 15th so that's a good short term goal for me!

That was meant in jest before I have the women's liberation camping at my doorstep...

Will I name change now or was an apology enough?

Apology was fine, stunning and fussy!

I am going to make a vegetable soup today, think I am going to do 1 soup day a week (bit like the 2 day fast diet)

I have a few tips that helped me lose my twin tummy 2 years ago which as reappeared over Christmas

*drink 8 glasses of water a day - I put 8 elastic bands round the glass and remove 1 every time I finish
*eat my 5 a day, 2 pieces of fruit and at least 3 portions of veg a day
*walk at lunchtime every day
*30 day shred starts again tonight

Also if you fancy a biscuit, that's fine but follow the 30minute rule, you can have it but you have to wait 30 minutes, I drink a glass of water, eat a piece of fruit first. If I still want the biscuit fine but often I fine that after that little bit of willpower I decide against it. If you want another biscuit after the first you have to do the same, fruit, water wait half an hour!

Wishing everyone lots of good luck and Willpower, we can do it!

Hi everyone, I had a pretty good weekend ( after a terrible Friday!)
I'm going to weigh on Fridays but will post any good news on here! I'm aiming for 2lb per week. I am only 5foot1 but weigh 11stone1. I actually need to loose 2 stone but half a stone by my holiday at Easter would be a great start!
I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to squeeze in the shred today, got a really busy one. I'm really going to try though. I'm stuck on level2, tried level3 and had to phone it in give up!

I've manged to do 20mins jog and shred level 1 day 1. Feeling very good. Just need to avoid the evils that are biscuits, icecream, crisps etc, etc, etc...

I'm going to buy the Shred DVD. I got it on loveFilm once and only did a few days of level one and then gave up Blush.

Count me in! I have lost/gained/lost/gained the same 1/2 stone in the past 12 months. I have a pic taken on holiday when DD2 was 7 weeks old and i looked a damn sight better in a bikini than i do now Shock. I seem to do the baby weight thing arse-backwards lol. Slim when pregnant, skinny when bf then put weight on when they get to around 6m.

Had fruit & yoghurt for breakfast, I've got some hm lentil & veg soup and a granary roll for dinner then we're having hm fish, chips & peas for tea. I oven-bake the fish and chips, not fry and will have a smaller portion that the heaped plate i usually have. Snacks will be raw veg/fruit/low fat philly and rice cakes. Sounds good written down, lets see if i stick to it!

In fact i'm off to print out the bikini pic and stick it on the fridge

Had a good start to the day- greek yoghurt, small banana and honey fro breakfast instead of my usual toast dripping with butter and marmalade. A little blip at around 11 when a small bag of Frazzle-type crisps jumped into my mouth, but back on track with salad for lunch.

I also did the Shred, but started at level 1 again as it's been a couple of weeks since I attempted any Shredding (and that was at level 2)- don't want to put myself off! A gentle lead-in is the way to go, I think.

Hey all,

I had 10 almonds for my morning snack and a tuna salad for lunch. The afternoon is when I tend to snack tho, so hard bit of the day is ahead of me. All I can think about is biscuits!

shodan I've never managed 10days in a row so only ever done stage one. But I'm determined this time!

Ok, I weighed myself this morning and I'm 8 stone 13 and a half (so I'll say 9 stone) and I'm 5'3.

I've not done too badly today except I was offered a biscuit at school and took it without thinking.
I need to excercise - I used to walk miles every day but DD2 (now 2) is a pushchair refuser and will walk to school but it means that power walking is out! It's a real pain because I enjoy walking.

Hi, can I join in?
My sister is getting married mid may & I'm moh.
I really want to lose at least a stone. I've been putting it off since new year & now I need to get my butt in gear!
I've been such a pig the last few months & pretty much eating what I want so today it stops. I eat pretty healthy meals it's just the amount & the evening when the kids are in bed.
I had 2 weetabix, wiv half a banana & a few strawberries for breakfast. For lunch I had grilled mushrooms, scrambled egg & some plum tomatoes - my attempt at cutting my carbs! Chicken, salad & a bit of cous cous for tea.
I will weigh myself tomorrow. Have brought lots of healthy food today so I have no excuse. Also made carrot, lentil & tomato soup so will take that for lunch tomorrow & lunches the rest of the week.

I'm also going to get on my cross trainer 3x a week- mayb I'll do that while kids are in bed to try not to snack!

Karbea - shred & a jog?? I'm very impressed, going to do a load of sit ups once the children have gone to bed.
Scabbysnake - a wedding is such a good target. I managed to lose a stone before my sister's wedding and felt great. Then I had another baby and piled on 31/2 stone!
I did manage to fit in doing the shred today and have had a good day food wise.
Has anyone got any tips for low calorie but tasty, treat type foods?

DancingRoundTheKitchen · 25/02/2013 17:25

That is three and a half stone not 31/32 stone!

I had 2 cups of tea for breakfast, had grilled turkey steak with green beans and capers for lunch, and have had half a banana and a milky coffee as a snack.

Once the girls are in bed I am going to Shred, still need to make my veg soup and will have a small bowl of that for dinner.

I also have a DP who fills the house with crisps, chocolates, biscuits and ice cream - it's not exactly supportive is it!

I know! I went to the shop for bread and milk before, DH: while you're there get me a bag of m & ms!"

Grr! But I resisted the temptation to buy anything for myself, which is NOT like me!
