Here

I have a wedding to go to in April and will still be BFing. I'm hoping to be a size 14 by then. Is this dress to dull? I'm very restricted as it has to be something that allows me to nurse and I imagine this would. I'd try to make it more exciting with shoes - I like Irregular Choice, though I'm not sure they'd work with this.

There's an extra 10% off via Top Cashback today only so I'd like to order it now.

Opinions please!

Its lovely but is it really bf friendly? Looks like you would mostly have to unwrap it and expose virtually all your breast.

Hassled · 22/02/2013 21:40

Not too dull but another one who is dubious that you could actually BF without exposing shoulders and god knows what else. Would a skirt/top combo be easier?

Hassled · 22/02/2013 21:40

It is a lovely dress though.

INeedThatForkOff · 22/02/2013 21:40

I don't think you could unwrap it. I was thinking it would stretch to one side as it's jersey. Maybe not - don't suppose anyone has it / has tried it?

It's lovely. Snakeskin shoes would work well.

thenightsky · 22/02/2013 21:42

Look at using the zoom and focus on the bottom hem. It is see-through and the hem stitches show in a bad way. It looks cheap and nasty to me. Sorry OP, but I reckon you could do better Sad

cashmere · 22/02/2013 21:44

I think formal wear is hard to feed in generally so I'd get it if you like it anyway and feed in private if needs be- will you have a hotel room?

I never use feeding rooms normally and will bf anywhere BUT if I have a formal do/Christmas etc I will wear things I have go undress to feed in so I can get dressed up in nice things.

Depends on venue though.

FlatsInDagenham · 22/02/2013 21:50

I think the back view shows all the lumps and bumps on that model. I would go for something more structured and less clingy. (But I'm a size 16!)

INeedThatForkOff · 22/02/2013 21:51

I'd have access to a room. It's the service that would be a problem. I hate dressing for weddings while BFing and this is the third time I've had to do it. Gah! Last time I felt like a sack of spuds and this time I wanted to do better.

thenightsky, I want to spend as little as possible and will probably only wear it once. But you're right Sad

Any skirt and top suggestions? No satin - I've tried that before and look like I'm swinging a couple of footballs around.

This or This?

cashmere · 22/02/2013 22:31

Coast have some nice skirt/top and trouser/top ideas which might be worth a look if you'd wear again.

If not I did like that dress and it is a good price (Esp for one day)

cashmere · 22/02/2013 22:35

Maybe this dress:-

INeedThatForkOff · 22/02/2013 23:54

I like the BFing dress but it's too expensive for me, and the coast top too.

There's a silk top called Marin Rose on Phase Eight that could work with a skirt. Too knackered to link now. Will look again tomorrow. Thanks for the ideas.

What about something like this? Not very interesting but feeding friendly. No size 14s online tho.

ellangirl · 23/02/2013 04:12

Or this?

INeedThatForkOff · 25/02/2013 12:33

OK, I've got this blouse which I like. I've tried it with this skirt, but it's not doing me any favours (too short).

I'm considering this, this or this. Any opinions or suggestions please?

Or what about cigarette jacquard trousers? Too informal?

OP posts:
carrie74 · 25/02/2013 12:49

I actually think with a top like that, it would look best with some cigarette pants. Maybe something jacquard? It needs to be quite fitted to offset the floatiness of the top half. I'm not really sure on any of those skirts (although may be ok if top is tucked in with a belt, although that makes BFing tricky again).

For example, I love these.

INeedThatForkOff · 25/02/2013 12:50

x-post. I'm doing it! Smile

I'd go for something louder TBH than the Next ones. There's some fab ones on ASOS.

INeedThatForkOff · 25/02/2013 12:56

I just don't want to draw attention to my bum. Loud shoes?

OP posts:
carrie74 · 25/02/2013 12:57

Sounds fab!
