I have been using l'oreal 2in1 simply essentials make up remover which says suitable for sensitive skin. It's fab at removing my waterproof mascara but must have changed ingredients as now leaves my eyelids red and puffy, swollen and itchy And eczema! I don't like using cream type remover as feels nasty in my eyes so I need a liquid one suitable for me! Help!

I like Clinique's Take the Day Off for eyes and lips. You do have to wash it off afterwards as it's oil based - but it works!

Isn't baby oil supposed to be good for this?

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 22/02/2013 14:16

I always have and always will use a pad with a blot of baby oil on takes anything off, use it to take off that indelible lipstain stuff too. Coconut oil is meant to be good too.

purplerainbow · 22/02/2013 14:20

Iv not found baby oil to be any good Hmm

That Lancome one that regulary wins all the awards. www.lancome.co.uk/_en/_gb/skincare/eye-care/makeup-removers/bi-facil-064033.aspx#lcat=Cross-sell01_Complementary_Product
Pricey though

ItsintheBag · 22/02/2013 14:33

I got the lancome one with a christmas set in a mini size. Its amazing really. You shake it up to kinda mix it, its oil based but no oily.My skin in general is very sensitive and I had no issue with it.

Pop into Debenhams and ask them if they can give you a sample, they usually put it in there goodie bags when they have an offer on so do tend to have them.

purplerainbow · 22/02/2013 14:52

Wow expensive! Not sure I can stretch to that as I wear make up everyday! Any high street equivalent?

Hi, the Boots no. 7 eye make up remover ( blue liquid in plastic bottle) is excellent. I use waterproof mascara every day and first wash using a facial wash then use the remover. It is about £8 ish but the I often stock up when they do the £5 off no.7 vouchers, so get it for around £3.

purplerainbow · 22/02/2013 15:22

Ok great thanks, I shall pop to boots first!

Baby wipes!

OhWouldYouJust · 22/02/2013 15:25

Oil is your friend.

Coconut oil or even olive oil works well Smile

Blackden · 22/02/2013 15:41

The Lancome Bi-Facil is the best remover ever.
I just hate paying for it though.
I will give the Boots one a try.

Internationaltraveller · 22/02/2013 20:36

I bought those types of things off ebay - just make sure it's sealed and from a reputable seller.

Darmont · 22/02/2013 22:31

Just checked the no. 7 one and its called Beautiful Skin and says on back removes waterproof

thenightsky · 22/02/2013 22:32

Boots Botanics - I've tried everything else over the course of 20 years, but always end up coming back to this.

FannyPriceless · 22/02/2013 22:33

Clinique take the day off is fantastic.

EllenParsons · 23/02/2013 10:30

Another vote for Lancôme bi facil or Clinique take the day off. I alternate between these.
