Shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair?

Hello, I usually use Frizz Ease shampoo and conditioner as my hair is quite dry and very prone to frizz in humid conditions. I have just had my hair coloured a lovely vibrant red - can any one recommend s&c for coloured hair that is also good for frizzy hair? Budget wouldn't stretch for the ones my hairdresser uses! Thanks.

Hi Leonardo. I tried to rave about a really great shampoo, conditioner and hair oil on MN the other day here.

For many years I used Frizz Ease and all the various products of that name. Then a while ago it all just stopped working for me. My hair was just either total frizz and really dry or, if I used the Frizz Ease serum it looked like I'd poured cooking oil over it. Argania oil products have made my hair thick with really good curls and basically looking about ten year's younger. Previously my hair was curly, frizzy, dry and has been dyed and knackered for most of it's 40something life.

Its really looking pretty darn good these days.

Thanks discophile, anyone else use a really good shampoo and conditioner?

Whatever you choose, don't get a shampoo with sulphates in (SLS or SLES) as this will strip the colour off your hair and make it drier.

I use L'Oreal Elvive for coloured hair (red bottles)

I second L'Oreal Elvive.

I have my hair coloured every 5 weeks - alternating between full head base colour and then base plus highlights.

My hair is always shiny.

Keratase.

Get it from the salon or Regis sell it if there's one near you
