I'm not very smart or girly.

I am size 14 and i carry most of my weight on my stomach like a beer bellied man.

I have biggish boobs.

My bum is fine.

I have biggish upper arms.

I sound atrocious don't i.

Is it apple shpe?

I want to wear a dress, preferably not floral.

I am brunette.

Can anyone help?

Do you like any of \link{http://simplybeuk.drct2u.com/productcache/DAL/productwindow/11030453-primary-1.html.gz\these?} I think the vintage beaded one's quite 'amanda lamb' styley and it has a matching shrug if you're worried about your arms. The print one is also nice - more versatile. You also get 10% off first orders with them.

Gina Polka Dot Print Silk Dress \link{http://store.monsoon.co.uk/catalog/Welcome\from 'dresses', obviously...}
maybe with a shrug thingy if worried about your arms?

Frenchgirl · 30/04/2006 16:51

or the Ines Palm Beach Dress? shape could be good to avoid tummy area?

Frenchgirl · 30/04/2006 16:53

still on Monsoon, the Polly Silk Georgette Party Dress could look great

Frenchgirl · 30/04/2006 16:55

or the Manhattan Spot Dress

Frenchgirl · 30/04/2006 16:55

bubblerock · 30/04/2006 17:49

Thanks sorry i had to go out, a lot of screaming girls waiting for me in a beer garden.

Now, i like them all, especially the ines one but..........they scare me, ive never worn anything like any of them in my life.
I'm scared i'll start singing Doris day songs.

you need to take one of your screaming girls with you, and try loads and loads in your local monsoon, you might end up loving wearing dresses.
But then if you don't you can always go for a skirt and top, or even smart trousers and top
