Opinions on benefit They're Real mascara please

I have been tempted to try this a couple of times but the price puts me off! I have very sparse fair lashes and usually use a Loreal one-have tried Lancome and clinique ones too and they were crap.

Boots are selling a mini version of They're Real for a tenner though-any ladies on here tried it yet?

Awful. Don't waste your money.

I bought it at xmas and genuinely couldn't believe how shit it was. Watery consistency, made my (longish and full-ish) lashes stick together in a lovely skinny finger fashion. Yuck.

Donated it to my mother and returned to Max Factor 2000 Calories aka the best mascara in the world.

Thanks for the heads up bunny-will save my cash. I started a thread on here for you the other day and you ignored me-I got the Pearl lowe red lace dress off ebay for £20!

Oh no! I didn't see! Sorry Blush

Good bargain though! I've been wearing my Peggy at every available opportunity Grin

Ashoething · 20/02/2013 12:59

Yep I still want the Peggy too but its still going for crazy money-the red one was brand new too with tags on! I was outbid on one the week before too! I have a weekend with friends next month so planning on wearing it then-just need to get shoes now!

I see you've already made your decision, but just wanted to say it's the most SHITE mascara I've ever used.

QuinnFabray · 20/02/2013 13:02

The Benefit They're Real mascara works really well for lots of people though. I really like the effect it gives, don't find it watery or clumpy. It does dry out quicker than most mascara's, in the tube though, and for that reason I wouldn't repurchase. I recommend Revlon's Grow Luscious (green tube) as an alternative.

Hi i found they're real really great!
i think its the best mascara ive tried, and at £18 it is quite a punt.
really nice length, not too clumpy, really black, doesnt flake at all during the day.
give it a go! (tho super nice MIL did buy my last one tho!)

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 22/02/2013 15:46

I really like it.

cosysocks · 22/02/2013 15:47

I know I sound daft but it makes my eye lids really heavy!! Do think it looks nice for and evening etc. it does take me back to being a teenager and having spider eyes though from layer upon layer of mascara.

GingerLemonTea · 22/02/2013 15:56

Try it on at the counter. I didnt like it, it made me look like I had about 8 spidery lashes.

CorrieDale · 22/02/2013 16:05

I really like it too. Not that I wear it often.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 22/02/2013 16:08

My favourite mascara for thick, sooty lashes is Mally Beauty.
I did get seduced by the They're Real, but not impressed.
It seems to work better for me if I use one coat only otherwise it clogs them up.
(Not that my eyelashes are anything to get excited about though Sad )
