My hair is falling out 3 months after giving birth...I remember this bit.
Anything I can do to make myself feel better?
B vitamins? Sea kelp?

There was loads when I just washed it.

I don't straighten, only blow dry rarely. Use shampoo and conditioner designed for my hair type.

Ah me too. My hair looks shite and I have bald patches on either side. Don't think there's much to be done- I'm just taking Pregnacare and hoping it will stop s

Soon!

ProlificWillyBreeder · 19/02/2013 09:19

I've taken the same approach as you, pregnacare and hoping it will stop!

I mentioned it to my gp about 6 months ago, had bloods checked but neard nothing back so think all was ok. I was anemiac when pregnant untreated as i didnt take the iron, i have IBS and the tablets cripple me from past experiance, i dont know if the anemia will have fixed itself though, i presumed so.

leannac · 19/02/2013 12:25

Mine fell out for about 3-6 months post baby then had a year of really annoying tufty bits of hair growing back that looked terrible then got pregnant again so expecting to start from scratch again any day now!

ProlificWillyBreeder · 19/02/2013 13:44

I had liquid iron, my body couldn't deal with the tablets.
I also had tuffs, I looked ridiculous :(
I'm now shoving £1 veet down the plug holes!

I am 5 months post partum and at the hair shedding stage. I recommend vitamins but also New shampoo bar from Lush. It has cinammon and cloves in, so stimulates the hair and doesn't weigh it down. I couple it with a lightweight conditioner (Veganese from Lush). My hair is looking much better.

MadameCastafiore · 19/02/2013 15:16

When it grows back straighter it and treat it mean and it won't look like baby hair and be so noticeable!

TimidLivid · 19/02/2013 16:02

Oh the tufts of three inches of hair then your actual hair. Aargh. Its awful it passes I have no advice

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 19/02/2013 20:46

It will be back to normal 2 years later.
