Black fur trimmed cape

Whilst I was out yesterday I saw a girl in the most beautiful black cape, trimmed with fur round the bottom (fake) round the hood and 2 long strings with bobbles on that fastened it at the neck. It was soooo gorgeous. Anybody any ideas? I know it's a long shot!! I want one :( just wish I had stopped her and asked her. It was truly gorgeous :)

Oh! I really want to know too. It sounds wonderful. Am really hoping cape-info arrives soon

Not quite the same (trim is on collar and sleeves only and no bobbles) but I really like this.

M&S fake fur wrap

Oh and no hood either! Maybe not then.

Could be vintage? My Mum had two exactly as you describe in the 60s, in both black and turquoise. She threw them out in the 70s Angry

Sorry, that's not very helpful, is it?!

It was knee length and swishy and she looked completely elegant and warm. Didn't look vintage....can't stop thinking about it. Ha ha

I agree it sounds fabulous, I would love to own something like that!

Normally when I admire someone's coat/ shoes/ dress/ whatever it turns out they bought it in a boutique in Italy/ Australia/ somewhere impossible. But the majority of people are pleased to have been asked.

I've seen the sort of cape you mean, in cheap local boutique type places - really chavvy ones. The one near me is called Pussycat and I love it Smile the capes cost about £50-70 though. Every town has at least one of these shops, take a teenage DD and you won't feel so silly going in.

I need something like this as a formal coat (eg I had to go to my first ever ball last year and ended up with a waxed jacket over the dress to get there!). Unfortunately our local shops stretch to outdoors wear and camping gear, so no hope there! I just had a bit of a Google and was it something like this: www.lucysboutique.co.uk/p/135/zara-black

(on a second glance it is a bit pricey for what it is though!)
