I'm stuck! What do you wear to work in the summer?

After 4 years of summer pregnancies/maternity leaves, I'm back to considering what 'normal' clothes to wear to work in the summer.

Winter is easy, skirts and cardis/dresses with knee high boots is my staple. I don't need to wear a suit, but do a professional (but not 'desk') job and do need to look smart and reasonably modest (not sleeveless or flowery/frilly).

What's the summer equivalent of my winter work staples? I like cropped trousers and skirts, but am not sure about footwear (sandals? ballet pumps?) or tops (t-shirts aren't quite right, want to avoide polyester blouses at all costs!). Any ideas for cool but smart dresses?

Can you get away with sleeveless if it's smart? I recently bought some new work tops:
-blue french connection cowl necked sleeveless top
-black DP sleeveless shirt with high neck
-black next sleeveless top with lace insert and high neck.

All of the above are baggy enough not to cling and make me sweaty (I get hot easily), have space around the armpits to avoid getting too sweaty and look smart with cropped trousers. I do really struggle with shoes though (big feet and I walk a lot!) but work are ok with smartish sandals so hopefully that'll be ok!

I've got no idea how to dress for summer when pg, so a bit worried about that this summer (due sept)

I often wear dresses (Me & Em or Phase Eight usually, sometimes Banana Republic) with sandals (pretend-y Sam Edelman Gigis last summer), or cigarette pants with a good top or blouse (again Banana Republic do lovely quality Ts that are more appropriate for work). Ballerina flats.

Dresses are good (with a cardie over the top if sleeveless).

I tend to wear low courts or peep toes in summer. When it is really hot, I walk in in flip flops and change when I get there.

Short sleeved plain dresses
7/8 trousers or silk skirt with silk/silk/linen mix t shirts
silk/linen jackets
Peep toes or high heeled sandals
Good pedicure/Sally hansen on legs
