Is laser teeth whitening bad for teeth? Does it remove enamel?

An old school friend on my FB newsfeed has started offering laser whitening for £70.

I've just had a look through some of his pictures of his clients and i'm very tempted to book a consult.

However, i've heard that the bleach removes enamel, thus making teeth stain again very easily. It can also make teeth very thin and sensitive.

Can anyone advise?

I had laser whitening and it was fine but i wouldn't say it made much difference to the colour! They looked maybe cleaner, possibly one or two were a bit less yellow but certainly not white.

The bleaching trays are the way to go. They do them for £300 at my NHS dentist and then you can buy gel on the internet whenever you need to. I have noticed two of the school mums who have this and they look great.
