What would YOU wear to a formal wedding?

Trying to get an idea of what type of dresses other people will be wearing, the range of what is considered formal, iykwim.

Invite suggests people will be wearing tails / hats.

I would wear my pink suit from Madame Zaza of Marseilles The jacket is pink, the skirt is narrow, multicoloured and has a knot in it. It cannot be worn to anything other than weddings. I would wear my Wedding Hat which is cream silk, mandating cream tights (new) and my cream Wedding Shoes.

Depends on time of year, but probably mint green silk shift dress (Alexon. They're fab), nude stockings and heels, mint green hat and either a jacket, shrug or pashmina depending on venue and time of year

I've got a silver grey Kaliko dress in a jaquard shiny fabric with some rhinestones on it and a 3/4 sleeve matching jacket plus a matching fascinator. It's not very trendy (I may be frumpy for using that word and wearing a fascinator - horror!) but it allows for my stomach to expand during the day, and the dress looks nice on its own at night. I've worn it to 3 weddings and another 2 planned, great value per wear. I've got some silver Gina shoes to go with my wedding ensemble, bought in a sale years ago.

Oops. Sorry. Was doing it in' phone and must have remembered url wrongly. Love my dress from there and got so many compliments. Really wishing for another wedding/event to wear it to now!
