A while ago there was a handbag thread that diverged to talk about leather cleaning.
I mentioned that I'd had cooking fat cleaned off a tan leather Mulberry satchel, and that I was waiting to hear the fate of a brown leather boot that had marinaded all summer in a lotion that I think might have been Johnsons holiday tan

Well, the boot is back!!!!!!
It is a joyful day!!!!
It looks as though no trauma had ever been wrought upon it. It is an actual miracle!!!!!!
