Skinny jeans & ankle boots - how?!

I'm average height, about 5'6", so take a 32" in most leg lengths. I've been on the hunt for some black ankle boots with a med heel, to wear with my skinny jeans, i've tried several pairs so far and they ALL look/don't fit properly around the hem of my jeans - i can't tuck my jeans into the boots as there isn't enough material, and i can't have the jeans outside the boots because its the same problem or the boots a too wide at the top - iukwim? I'm thinking it maybe be i need 'super skinny jeans'? but i can't afford a whole new wardrobe of jeans! I don't fancy long boots - i like them on other people - they just look wrong on me!

I have a pair of lace-up brogue type ankle boots, with a fleecy lining, that I wear with skinny jeans. The jeans sort of ruckle up and sit on top/inside, and look fine.

Turn your jeans up once or twice so they are at the top of your boots. As long as they are heeled ankle boots!

yes, you need to turn up with heeled boots....or you could get a pair of the shorter ankle skimmer skinnies, they are easier to fit into boots

Ok, thanks ladies, i shall try that. Off to collect yet another pair of ankle boots to try, they look like they could come a bit further up than just at the ankle so i may be able to get away with tucking my jeans in with these ones!

I don't mind a little extra jean gathering over my boots. I usually try to tuck some in and let them just do whatever. I don't mind messy though and I do have several pairs of ankle boots and not all have the space to tuck.
I have some ankle skimmers with zips, but for some reason I wouldn't wear them with boots, only ballet flats.
