Or flip-flops Grin

My friend's wedding is in May and the reception part is in a field. So depending on the weather it's going to be flip-flops or wellies for that part.

I can't help I'm afraid but I'm joining your thread because I am also attending a wedding reception in a field in May and am stuck too! (Same wedding?!)

Yes! The field is behind the groom's parents' house or something?

I'd definitely go for knee length or above with wellies. You could go down the boho/ gypsy route. If you've got time why not book a personal shopper at one of the dept. stores? I did last year for a wedding and was amazed how nice all the dresses were that she pulled out. Ones I'd never have picked myself. And no pressure to buy at all.

What about a nice retro tea dress? This Holly Willoughby jobby is a gorgeous colour, and this dress&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=-1&sort=-1&clr=Multi Watehouse one is lovely. Both can be dressed up with heels for the ceremony and would look fab with wellies. Well, as fabulous as any dress with wellies can be Grin

Long maxi dresses. I was at a wedding in a field last June and almost all the female guests had maxi dresses with wellies or doc martins in a complete rainbow of colours!
