I know there are loads that claim to, but pooling the knowledge of mn, has anyone got something they find actually works? I'm 6 weeks post partum and breastfeeding and exercising and eating healthily, but still looking for something to target the loose tummy skin from the outside too.

Cutting through the marketing rubbish, what have you used and liked?

Obviously nothing applied topically can reduce internal fat Wink

But there are creams that have a slight diuretic nature or are a good moisturiser that will help with the appearance of looser skin.

Tightening is what I'm after really... I know that diet'n'excercise are needed to target the fat, but something that tightens the stretched skin would be most welcome!

Anything that does 'tighten' skin will be a temporary effect rather than real, iykwim.

Best things you can do, IMO, are:

  • spend the money on good fats (avocado, salmon, nuts etc etc)
  • drink enough water
  • use a good rich body lotion (coconut oil/Shea butter, doesn't need to be £££) once or twice a day and massage it in rather than just smoothing it on.

I committed to doing that for 2 weeks (although much further post natal, I was too knackered to care for about 5 months both times!) and was so impressed at the difference it made.

You wouldn't be able to buy something over the counter which can shrink tummy fat as it would be medical. If something really could shrink fat cells it would be too dangerous to be able to use without medical supervision.
