But not sure what top & cardi would go with it? Would appreciate any help here xxx

If you could get a vest top the same pink colour, that might look nice. Or the same green as the ribon around the top.

milward · 26/04/2006 13:41

Sounds good - thanks Distal. I've nothing green so this could be a good change & something different.

I would go for the green colour personally.

milward · 28/04/2006 23:37

Thanks bozza - the green it is! Since thinking of summer clothes it's got really cold here! I've got the kids sorted with sun hats so am expecting lots of rain :)

i think a simple plain red/pink vest top would go best with this so the focus is the beautiful skirt.
:)

that skirt is lovely, would go with pretty much any of the colours its got in the pattern. would look striking with cream or stone coloured top too.

if you're ordering from boden, have you done the 'recommend a friend' thing. i got £15 credit for giving them 6 addresses

schneebly · 28/04/2006 23:47

very nice! I would go with a wrap cardi or cute blouse in any of the skirts accent colours.

milward · 28/04/2006 23:51

Good idea 1baby - I'm thinking of getting one or two of the t-shirts - do know if Boden clothes they wash well? Have 4 kids so all my clothes are regulary in the washer!!

I would say a simple beige or cream top - or at most a pale yellow. You wouldn't want anything to compete with the skirt. Green would be too much. Just my opinion though Smile

milward · 28/04/2006 23:52

Thanks lucykate & schneebly - hadn't thought of this. A cardi would be good as well - I love cardigans!

rhian101 - tricky for me as I don't have anything green! - not sure how it would look on me! My dd1 looks lovely in green

would go with white vest and then little shrug either dusky pinkk or brown

lucykate · 29/04/2006 09:28

boden stuff washes really well, i have a few tops which are about 2-3yrs old and they still look like new.

it all sells well on ebay too, worth bearing in mind for the lids stuff. we've got kids tops that have done the rounds with all the family and still in good enough nick to sell.

blueteddy · 29/04/2006 09:31

A beige vest top or halter neck top would look nice ith this skirt, as would a white, pink or green one.

milward · 29/04/2006 09:39

Thanks for the good ideas xxx

I feel really inspired. I've sort of lost track of what to wear after having ds4. Most of my clothes don't fit for the summer!!

Like the shrug idea as well - to cover up abit if wearing a vest top (never worn one of these before!!!). Happy to know Boden clothes washe well & last a good time. Wonder about the linen & ironing aspect - but never look pristine so probably not an issue. :)

Sorry if I was ambiguous, I meant to say do not wear green! I don't think green would work at all, you'd look like an upside down plant Smile It would definately look best with cream - nothing too busy.

beetroot · 29/04/2006 12:46

milward. don't wear a vest if yu have saggy arms..wear a t shirt or cap sleeve.

milward · 29/04/2006 20:12

good point beetroot - not sure if my arms are saggy but just not used to having lots of me on display! iyswim I usually wearshort sleeves or 3/4 sleeves. Plus I don't take the sun well so have to cover up in anycase.

lol rhian101 at being an upside down plant :) I think I'll try green though just for a change but I'll also get a cream top (said hopefully as a vision of my kids & choc icecream comes to mind!!) I've got a light pink one already that I hope will co-ordinated as well

:)
