Bobbi Brown- love, hate, overrated?

I have quite a bit- foundation, blusher- powder and pot rouge- concealer, eye pencil and eye shadow.

But sometimes I wonder if I have been seduced by the packaging and the lovely sales assts.

I rate their concealer- great for under eyes- and foundation because I am uber pale and hardly anyone does foundations that work for me colour-wise.

But blushers and shadows- at £17 a pop- hmmm.
Pot Rouge is the new version and it's so greasy- makes my cheeks look wet when applied and lasts for an hour.

Currently using a Revlon eyeshadow quad that was £7 ish and is great.
Picked up a Rimmel blusher and seems fine.

So is my love affair over and is BB overrated?

I like the foundation, esp the colour as I'm very pale

I'm a huge fan of Bobbi Brown, I've tried lots of different brands from cheap to stupidly expensive, but always end up using Bobbi Brown. However I only use Bobbi Brown for my face base, I prefer Nars and Urban Decay when it comes to to the eyes and use Clinique for lips.

I love Bobbi Brown, but there's lots of other brands with good products.

Funnys - was the BB Lip Tint mint flavoured? Try Clinique's SuperBalm. These are minty, however I found that these (and the BB ones) go off after a year or so and start to smell bad.

Hmm I had a makeover at the BB counter in House of Fraser back in 1995 when I started my first job in the West End. It gave me lots of ideas, and I go back every now and then to get more. For example how to apply eyeliner and do my brows, but have to say that the reason I have BB in my make up bag is more to do with sentimentality. The brushes are great, the eyeliner one I bought in 1995 is still going strong. Benefit or Mac are probably better. when I've used up my BB I'm going to MAC!

I love pot rouge! Lasts all day on me and the pot will probably outlast me :)
