am Envy of your heating Moondog - our boiler is knackered Angry Sad, and despite the sunshine outside the house is bloody cold!!!!!

moondog · 26/04/2006 16:03

Oh Lct*,am horrified that you even suspected for a microsecond that would be into weirdy internet stuff (MN aside)
Towel on now, getting dark and would hate to offend conservative Turkish neighbours.
(DH's Italian colleague sunbathed in a bikini on her balcony one w/end and on the Monday, the office was inundated with outraged calls from people in the same block of flats.)

moondog · 26/04/2006 16:04

Oh it's only poxy little electric heating Jones (and the oven Blush)
Our communal boiler went off last week and our flat is big and cold.

JonesTheSteam · 26/04/2006 16:06

Not quite so Envy now Moondog. Wink

Although we don't have any hot water either, so there'll be no nice long bath for me tonight!!!!!

(Still have an electric shower though, so won't be stinky!!!!!) Grin

moondog · 26/04/2006 16:09

Why no hot water Jones??
Quite often we are without water and electric here.

Lact8 · 26/04/2006 16:10

Moondog, I meant that you like to go on the internet in the nude, that still sounds wrong doesn't it?? Think I'm just going to end up digging a bigger hole for myself here Blush

I mean surf the internet, phew

So have you had to have a drastic wardrobe rethink living there?

JonesTheSteam · 26/04/2006 16:11

Have combi boiler that heats up c/heating and hot water.

B. Gas came out last week to fix an 'intermittent' problem.

Now seems to be a permanent problem as boiler is completely dead - it won't fire up at all, and they can't see any reason for it.

Engineer is coming back tomorrow afternoon to put some new part in - got the feeling he was clutching at straws though!!! Sad

Ledodgyherring · 26/04/2006 16:18

ok this is soo not true for me especially today as I haven't even changed out of the clothes i threw on to exercise this morning.
black velour jogging bottoms - £10 from ethel austin they've seen better days and were bought in my first pregnancy when nothing else fitted, they also saw me through my second pregnancy so well worth a tenner!
Levis Vest - think this was about £15

Knickers - £3
no socks
Dp's cardigan - £24
no watch or jewellery
Phone and sim card I got for free and it's payg

moondog · 26/04/2006 16:21

Not really Lact8
Turkey tolerates all sorts,so veil ok as is a tight outfit. They ban headscarves in public builings.
This is the East however-very conservative indeed.
