Help me find a dress to wear to weddings this summer in one of the autumn reds

I have three weddings, I've had my colours done and am autumn leaf so really suit the deep, warm reds. Budget about £100 or under. Going boggle eyed already from searching online!

Not sure on the tones you mean, could you post some links for the colours?

this is lovely

Do you mean a red with tones like this? Oxblood red.

*Not saying this dress in particular, just trying to narrow down your autumnal red.

blusterywinds · 02/02/2013 20:23

Even I find it hard to describe the colour thing and I have the chart! Warm, yellow toned deep red. Very hard to tell online as well as I have sent loads back.

The ASOS shift looks lovely but would have to order to check colour...looks quite a cool red to me. The JL one is perfect colour but peplums or anything close to them are not for me! Oasis link not working.

juliessister-that looks a good colour

Yes HoC. Link now working...it's lovely but I used to wear that kind of colour a lot pre having colours done. I have loved the confidence HoC has given me to wear bolder colours which is why red...or maybe the autumn yellow which I love. As for style, it's transitional...used to be boho, now more tailored as I get older!

this sort of yellow?

blusterywinds · 02/02/2013 20:36

Yes, exactly that yellow. Really like that dress actually and my legs are my strong suit so happy to go short!

this? NEEDS a pillbox hat!
westwood-a-like. this shade?

I'm lost colour wise!

TBH internet shopping for specific shades is verging on impossible.

notMarlene · 02/02/2013 20:38

x posts

I have no idea of your size

this looks the same colour as the DP one (which is very nice)

notMarlene · 02/02/2013 20:39

that last one is over budget but classic enough to work for years, I think.

<a class="break-all" href="http://www.vanmildert.com/products/womens-hazel-mustard-yellow-bodycon-dress?source=webgains&siteid=www.vanmildert.com" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">only an 8

blusterywinds · 02/02/2013 20:44

I know re Internet shopping for specific shade is nightmare...I could start another thread asking how people who have had colours done manage it, I send so much back.

The Moscino one is LOVELY!

utter bargain for every day wear
another

There seems to be a tonne of this shade in the sales - buy up some basics - it'll be as rare as hens teeth in the shops for the next 5 years or so. shopstyle Wink

blusterywinds · 02/02/2013 20:45

Oh and a size 8 in expensive stuff. 10 to 12 in cheaper brands normally

blusterywinds · 02/02/2013 20:48

Thanks notMarlene, great stuff and cheap as chips for every day. That second LaRedoute link is in all the autumn colours. This is partly why I posted, I knew people would suggest shops I never think to look at.

blusterywinds · 02/02/2013 21:07

Oh god, I'll have no money left for the wedding dress at this rate!!

notMarlene...thank you. A few things ordered. Can I employ you as my personal Internet shopper?!
