Mum boots or not? The S&B debate has been mentioned in Laura's article today. Can't link due to Paywall. I've got the black and got my eye on cobalt which will no doubt be sold out by the time I get to order. Grin

I refuse to buy any Murdoch owned media, so can you clarify which part of the paper it's in so I can have a sneaky read later? Am guessing T2...

I did read somewhere that the colbalt had a waiting list on my-wardrobe, which was pure fiction as when I checked later that day, they had all sizes available, as did the other online sites who were stocking them.

Long live mum boots! I love the cobalt but wouldn't get them as they are something I would have to be in the right mood to wear so would probably end up not wearing them very often. Such a lovely colour though!

So, while the old argument that celebrity endorsement drives sales might be partly true in the case of the Pistol, it doesn?t explain things entirely. To explain things entirely, we must turn to Mumsnet.
?Acne Pistol ? Mum Boots, surely?, posted PippiLongShocking on the parenting website?s Style and Beauty section. Her post attracted 144 replies. Most of them were critical, ranging from ?If they were from Next everyone would be saying they were frumpsville? to ?£350 on boots to make me look like I did going to job interviews when I left uni 12 years ago. No thanks?. Although perhaps, the user smellylittleorange summed things up best: ?Whilst trying to decide on the mumsyness of a boot one should ask ? would Anthea or Fern or that other one who is married to that Irish Morning TV bloke wear them? If the answer is a resounding YES then I am afraid they are Mum Boots.?

I love them. In any colour. But right now can't afford them....probably. Tryin to decide them or the ash wedges. But there are so many copies of the acne ones. Any opinions on which copies are best and most comfortable please?
