I've got dry scabby flaky fingers exacerbated by washing up. Yuk. Will spend a bit if it really works but within reason!

Vaseline and those white cotton gloves overnight is good. If you don't mind the Minnie Mouse look.

Elfontheedge · 27/01/2013 10:04

I am going to get some gloves today actually but I'm thinking as well for daytime use. My hands feel really grim at the minute and I never used to have a problem with dry hands at all Hmm

www.lakeland.co.uk/8944/DermaGuard This is brilliant stuff.

MrsPnut · 27/01/2013 10:05

I use soap and glory hand food but I have tubes of it in every bag and use it every time I wash my hands.

Bunbaker · 27/01/2013 10:06

Why don't you wear washing up gloves? They help insulate from the heat as well so I can have the water hotter to wash up in.

Elfontheedge · 27/01/2013 10:08

Oh yes washing up gloves too!

Hemp in a tube from Body Shop - excellent stuff

AmberNectarine · 27/01/2013 10:10

I'm using Clarins at the moment - very good and smells nice.

catinboots · 27/01/2013 10:11

I second the body shop hemp one. Really heavy duty stuff.

SavoyCabbage · 27/01/2013 10:12

Keep some in your glove box for when you are in traffic.

ihatethecold · 27/01/2013 10:16

You can't beat neutrogena hand cream. Cheap as well

knitknack · 27/01/2013 10:32

I prefer the Body Shop ALMOND handcream to the hemp one, I find it more moisturising. Also, crabtree and evelyn la source is fantastic on my poor hands :)

Sugarbeach · 27/01/2013 10:36

Defo wear rubber gloves for washing up.

Khiel's super strength hand crem IMO is the bestest ever.

PlumSykes · 27/01/2013 10:38

Clarins or L'Occitane both fab, rubber gloves a must for chores.

BrandyAlexander · 27/01/2013 10:42

I have dry skin and use gloves and I moisturise all the time! Every sink in our house has L'occitane shea butter by it, I have a molton brown one (Nanji something) at my work desk and carry small tube of hand cream (not sure which brand) in my handbag..

babySophieRose · 27/01/2013 10:43

Buy a gentle washing-up liquid, Fairy original made my hands horrible, use gloves when you can, put hand cream on your hands several times a day. E45 for hands is really very good, not oily, makes your hands soft, soft, soft...

BoringSchoolChoiceNickname · 27/01/2013 10:44

If you haven't tried Neutrogena then definitely give that a go - ultra effective, dirt cheap, non-greasy and readily available.

MUMoo7 · 27/01/2013 10:44

Flexitol hand balm works for me and is quite reasonably priced.

cluelessnchaos · 27/01/2013 10:47

I have a REN one, an occitane and lush charity pot. I think REN is the most effective when my hands are really dry but I prefer the smell and texture of the other two

Marylou2 · 27/01/2013 10:57

Just got L'occitane 20% Shea butter for my similarly grotty hands. Big improvement in 2 days.

HyvaPaiva · 27/01/2013 11:01

Without a doubt, Clarins.

chipsandpeas · 27/01/2013 11:02

another vote for the soap and glory hand food, smells nice and you dont need a lot of it

ceeveebee · 27/01/2013 11:05

Aveda hand food is good
And Norwegian hand cream

LeMousquetaireAnonyme · 27/01/2013 11:06

Neutrogena.

coffeeinbed · 27/01/2013 11:06
