what on god's earth are 'boy shorts'

I am sick of reading in magazines about 'boy shorts'. I keep thinking about the baggy type of thing that boys wear, you know, as shorts, to do sports in, but no-one can be suggesting that I wear them under a floaty dress

help me

I am too young to lose touch completely

they seem to be a new kind of pant. they've just appeared from nowhere.

I don't know what to think

boy shorts are great - big knickers that are still sexy!

iota · 24/04/2006 10:26

It's a completely stupid name which seems to have caught on - have you ever seen a boy in anything like those?

cupcakes · 24/04/2006 10:26

I really like them. Flattering and comfortable.

Cappucino · 24/04/2006 10:27

oh I see! they've got legs! thank you!

don't seem to have much coverage for wobbly tum, though...

OP posts:
cod · 24/04/2006 10:28

Cappucino · 24/04/2006 10:29

no I disagree. I love my thongs. They don't look like my mother's girdle but they come up and cover the bit on my stomach were dd1 decided to stick her bleeding legs and stretch me out of all proportion because she couldn't be arsed turning head down

my boy shorts come up fairly high, def well over my csection scar.

cupcakes · 24/04/2006 10:30

I have wobbly tum and they are actually rather nice - sits across the front very comfortably.

Enid · 24/04/2006 10:31

dd1 has them and looks fantastic in them

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 24/04/2006 10:31

the ones in Lou's link are NOT flattering unless you can carry off the Twiggy/Kate Moss androgenous but cute thing. If you are blessed with short legs and a tummy, stick to high legs for goodness sake.

cupcakes · 24/04/2006 10:31

and bottom much prettier too.

Harpsichordcarrier · 24/04/2006 10:31

I like the lookk of them but find they do tend to go up my crack a bit
