I am Shock after inspecting my hair in the mirror.

I have two MASSIVE bald patches just above each temple and I mean MASSIVE. If you look from the top I look like I have male pattern baldness.

This is horrific.

I had it bad with DS1 but this is something else.

Is there anything I can do??!!

I had exactly the same, it looked awful but I can assure you it will grow back! I have loads of crazy shorter hair now, DD is 20 mths. I had to get a side fringe cut to have to weight to hold the craziness down! It's all growing out now and looks much better, thank goodness!

I thought I was going bald after ds was born but it stopped and I still have hair! He's 10months old and It's grown back now and back to normal apart from all the extra grey

It can happen after childbirth. I didn't have that, but I've always struggled with thinning hair and I'm using a good treatment called Foltene, which I saw is a non drug solution, suitable while breastfeeding. You will surely grow out of this issue, but for now you can improve the regrowth and maintaining hair stronger with this treatment. You can find it online or in Boots.

I lost an awful lot of hair after ds was born, I found it really distressing when handfuls came out every morning in the shower. The best thing I did was visit a really good hairdresser (spending more than usual), and they reassured me that it was normal, happens to most new mums and gave me a hair style that made the most of what I had and more importantly made me feel good about myself!

I had this exact same thing. Big clumps of hair falling out in the shower, on my clothes etc. the best stuff I can recommend is a spray by Kerastas (that expensivo hair care range on sale in most well known hair dressers). I think it came in a white/grey bottle and stimulates the follicle so if you ever were going to get re growth ie lost hair as a result of childbirth than it somehow teases the hair out. Magic suff.

Hang in there, it will grow back to normal eventually...
