Where can I find jeans to fit when I'm in between sizes? Mission Impossible!

I had a baby 9 months ago and I can't get into my pile of old size 12 jeans. I have now wasted money on 3 pairs of size 14 jeans from M&S, Sainsburys and Primark, all of which felt great in the shop, but after a day of wear were sagging at the knees and waist.

I just want one pair that I can wear with boots but it seems impossible to find something that fits. Shall I just give up and have to go without jeans until I lose my birthing hips and thighs? Who knows when that will be!

I wear Oasis jeans in a 14. The Cherry ones are straight leg but wear like skinnies and look good tucked into boots.

H and m do in between sizes. However I always buy a size smaller when buying jeans dur to sagging stretching, so I guess you should be buying a 12???? Are you sure they don't fit?

Yes I'm sure. Some I can't get past my thighs and others won't do up.

I think asda do size 13 . Can you try marks size 12 as they are bigger . I put on 5 stone when I was pregnant !! I have lost it and I'm the same weight I was before but I still can't get some of my old jeans on .

I found Sainsbury's to be the best, but I notice you weren't impressed with those ones. Mine are the stretchy ones (straight leg) size 12's. I can't think where else would be a good place, sorry!

Tom Tailor do womens jeans in a 31 inch waist, where a lot of other brands go from 30 inch to 32 inch waist, but they are about £50, so not ideal if you are only wanting to wear them until you fit back into your old jeans, but maybe eBay or something?

Adds did in between sizes a few years ago after I had one of my babies, cheap too.

Most jean brsnds size in waist sizes 26, 27, 28 etc rather than 8, 10. I think you need to look at 'proper' jeans rather than supermarket ones. Try diesel, earl etc.they will be better Quality & fit better.

The premium brands do a 31inch waist so worth looking at Donna Ida sale section, TK Maxx and ebay for some bargains.

You have tried M and S and Sains...in my experience they size far more generously than a lot of other shops. I suggest trying a 14 in a shop like Topshop which are not so generous in cut

I am between an 8 and a 10 and find GAP and New Look are good fits in an 8 and Boden are good in a 10.

You want to avoid anything with too much stretch in it as they just go baggy throughout the day.

Get next size 12. Next jeans are mahoosive

Thanks for the ideas, I will look in Asda, Gap and tk maxx when I get a chance. Most of my ones that don't fit are size 12 from next.

What should they be made from to avoid the bagginess? I really can't waste any more money on useless jeans!

I'm a big 12 in jeans (due to mummy tummy) and find it best to buy from cheaper ranges whilst losing weight.
Avoid Next skinny jeans like the plague! They stretch as you wear then and look huge after a few hours (disclaimer - may not do this until you have washed them 3 times).
Best jeans I have bought recently for fit were Autograph at M&S stretch skinnies (maybe called jeggings though), New Look Skinnies and Dorothy Perkins - all of which I have bought a size 12 in. They have lasted beyond the 3 washes and become sack like within an hour of wearing. Sadly all were in the Autumn so cant find links to show you.

To avoid bagginess I buy jeans tight. They always give after about 20 minutes. I have stretchy jeans that don't bag as they aren't too big in the first place.

David Bitton Buffalo jeans are great for in between sizes, trust me I'm on the same boat. They are expensive brand new but I'm sure you could get a nice pair of size 31 waist on one of the eBay shops for a fraction of the price www.buffalojeans.com/eng/categories/women
