Confused with delicate items of washing.

Can someone help? I have quite a few items of clothing of my sons which have two lines underneath the wash symbol for a delicate wash. The only thing is these are things like jeans and t-shirts. How should i wash them?

Like you usually would.

I only drop to delicate program for loose knit things and the sort of jumpers which clearly might stretch or shrink.

DD1 and I both have lacy knit, need a vest under them tops which clearly don't want spinning at top speed.

But jeans Confused

Honestly I just would wash as normal and hang to dry do not put in dryer.

They do this so if you ruin them they can say you didn't wash them properly when you take them back . If they are cotton denim just wash them as normal . Drying can make marks on the denim depending on the colour so drip dry them to be safe .

Thanks everyone. Would you say to put on a cotton or synthetic cycle? Hmm

Probably synthetic 40c or they might crease a lot. Sometimes a cotton wash can be a bit harsh and spin stuff a lot.

mirpuppet · 21/01/2013 17:20

I would do 30c

Do you mainly use the synthetic cycle for even cotton stuff?

I only use synthetics wash for cotton stuff if its my better jeans, T shirts and blouses, so they don't crease too much. Most cottons get a 40c cotton wash.

I only separate whites and shove all colours and darks in together unless they are new and the dye looks a bit strong like some jeans or black T shirts, then I separate them for the first couple of washes

I very rarely use delicate wash, though a lot of cotton clothes do have the 2 lines underneath when I'm sure they don't need it, then I would generally use synthetics wash.
