my hair is so thin after pregnancy

I used to have lovely, thick, curly hair. After having my daughter it started to come out in clumps as I expected, but everyone told me that this hairloss was totally normal and I was just losing hair that had not fallen out during pregnancy. When it was all gone my "old" hair would be left. Thats not the case at all!

The hair I am left with now is ridiculously thin. If I plait it its not much thicker than a pencil, at most two pencils. Instead of curls I have wisps, there is no substance to it at all Sad DD is two now and the situation with my hair seems to be getting worse rather than better.

Is there anything I can do to get back my lovely "old" hair. Its beginning to make me quite sad.

I am suffering from this too. In fact, I seem to every year for several months and then it improves. This year seems worse than ever and seems to be lasting for ages... although I'm pretty sure I say that every year too.

I have shoulder length hair, no bald patches. It is just so THIN. I cannot wear it down at the moment and I have to pin it up... but it used to take 12 pins now it takes maybe 4 or 5.

I had a full blood test done a couple of weeks ago, in desperation. All results normal... iron count is high, no thyroid issues, folate good. I take vitamins, I'm normal weight , I don't smoke, last had a child 6 years ago.

So, I am no help to you. But you're not alone. It gets me down a lot.
