44, blonde, 5'9"' size 12 in need of help!!

Please help me. Have been invited to a v cool birthday party next week in a great venue with live bands performing etc. I want to look 'relevant' and modern but absolutely not muttonous. Was thinking of dress and long heeled boots. Should be able to get to Stratford Westfield next week, just have no idea where to look.

So grateful for suggestions!!

Well ankle boots or shoeboots would look more 'on trend' than long boots.

What budget do you have and what are fave colours and what type of shape are you?

Brilliant shoe boot suggestion, of course. Shapewise, i have 36B chest, broadish shoulders, small waist but biggish bottom. Legs are reasonable.

Well I have this dress which am going to wear with black opaques and black suede shoeboots from m&s when I go out in a couple of weeks.

The whistles bella dress could also be an option.

I'm the same height and size as you (and almost the same age) - I don't think you can go wrong with something from Cos. Their clothes have a really interesting cut which makes them simple but quite edgy. This could look great with a small waist. Try lots on in-store, things that look a bit meh on the hanger, often hang brilliantly on the bod.

Also check Diane von Furstenberg, her stuff in the sale is around £100. Hugely flattering, very on-trend.

Don't like cos dress. That color Confused and the style. I'm not sure it'll go well with a big bottom cos I have one too Smile.
