Child wellies for wide feet - I'm really stuck :(

Can anyone help me? My DS has wide feet - he's a wide H fitting - and I really struggle to get wellies for him. We manage with ordinary shoes by sticking to the same style at Clarks every time, and I managed to order a pair of H width trainers as well this time, but wellies stump us. The Doodle wellies are sometimes just about OK to start with if you size up, but to get a good fit in the width you have to size up so much that they're just too long for his feet and he trips over.

Today he's had to play in the snow in ordinary socks because his wellies wouldn't fit on with his thick warm socks Sad. I could really do with some help - does anyone know of anywhere that sells wide-fitting wellies??

have a look on the croc website, their wellies tend to be VERY roomy and VERY comfortable, as well as well made

DS is a G fitting and wears Startrite wellies......

My dc have wide feet and are ok in their Joules wellies. I agree the croc ones look likely as well.

That is a good idea - I hadn't thought about those. He's had crocs sandals successfully so that might be what we need. I have certainly learned that I have to order shoes in to be tried on because my local Clarks just don't keep the stock in Sad.

Dd is a G or H fitting and I found some good fitting wellies in the childrens section of a garden centre.

My son is a h and wears crocs. Also they are very light and easy to get on and off. I buy them every year. And then crocs for the summer.
They did have bat man ones for £9.99 in the sale.

Wide footed DS , wears thin socks and wellies a size or two "too big" , tho its hard to be sure WHAT size his feet are as he has school shoes made to fit and trainers I try lots on him till we find something that doesn't hurt. He's approximately a 12K , wearing size 13 wellies and trainers.

crocs also have 70% currently, not sure if kids wellies are in the sale tho!
i have just spent 87 quid!!!!

JennyWren · 19/01/2013 20:10

Not in the 70% off sale any more, unfortunately, but jellyegg.com have them on sale. I'm tempted to get a pair but there are also a couple of distributors locally so I'm going to phone around and see if they have any in stock to try on. Thanks for the heads-up Smile.
