I'm usually a 12 but bought size 10 the other day - boot cut. Fit really well. Have lost a lot of weight after having a baby though.

IME Gap jeans stretch quite a bit when you wear them ( I have only bought those without actual stretch in them though) In future I will buy a size smaller than I need.

I agree with Sue W re material as had to buy exactly the same style of Levis in two different sizes - the darker wash material was really soft so bought smaller size whilst the lighter wash was quite resistant so had to buy larger size. Lady in the shop said this was common with jeans and all the various washes.

lalaa - no I'm exactly with you on this one. And they've done it really recently. I used to be a comfy 14 in Gap (just like the 14 I too am in Jigsaw) and am still wearing my last pair of 14s. But when I tried to replace them, I'm 16, at a pinch, and they don't look half as nice. And yes, it's the cursed Western Boot Cut.

Shall we set up our own jeans store, with proper cuts and reasonable sizing?! Or can anyone tell me where sells nice jeans that are cut for all of us Jigsaw size 14s?!

This thread is making me think about my favourite favourite jeans ever... which are (dammit!) a Jigsaw size 12. They are just the perfect colour and shape with lovely Jigsaw detailing - ribbon at the waistband, frayed pockets etc. I bought them when I'd been in the tropics for a while and lost a lot of weight from stomach bugs etc and deludedly thought I'd stay that way. I so should have bought a 14 too.
