Arghh just realised while I have sorted something for DS to wear and probably DDs I havent anything for myself. I have a really good friends wedding 3 wks tommorow and have nothing to wear. I havent been out socially in over 2yrs so have no clothes apart from jeans etc.
I would like to look nice but dont have a lot of money. I am also a size 28-30 with huge boobs and bum. Dark brown hair that is very long and thick, glasses and am 5ft8. So I challenge you Mn to help me look decent.

Have you tried Simply Be or JD Williams online or ebay? What sort of thing were you thinking?

Nemo1977 · 21/04/2006 12:04

am just looking on simply be as I have an account and am about to look on ebay too.

No idea what to look for as I dont know what is in style/ what will suit etc as its been sooooo long. I think a dress would be nice but then would have to get something to cover my arms and I dont know what shoes...really am hopeless at this as have lived in jeans/pants and t shirts for nearly 3 yrs.

Not sure what you want to pay, but Evans have a nice 3/4 length sleeve jacket in ivory for £45. And some skirts or trousers in ivory or black that would go.

nemo - that site i linked to - said something about 28 days money back

now, i buy stuff for weddings from catalogues - then send it back and get my account credited

i did this with a hat i bought for rhubarbs wedding ( although i kep thte suit)

i also did the same with my SILs wedding last year - i was matron of honour and the colour scheme was powder blue - so i thought i 'm never gonna wear it again - and sent it back

then get something black and boobylicious for the meet up !

Nemo1977 · 21/04/2006 13:03

liek the white one more than the floaty number

Nemo1977 · 21/04/2006 13:17

which white one cod? The evans ivory or the simply be one?

Am ordering the simply be and ambrose wilson ones to try on at home.

beckybrastraps · 21/04/2006 13:20

Can you go and try something on? I find the trouble with mail order is that the models are a different shape to me. A word of warning - I too have big boobs and floaty is a very, very bad look for me! I would say keep it simple, and dress it up with some big jewellery.

cod · 21/04/2006 13:23

sorry only saw evans one
doe sno one on ehre have one to lend
i knwo hter are a lot of cuvaceous women on mn

Nemo1977 · 21/04/2006 13:24

b4ecky the only problem I have with the go to try on is dragging a 2.6yr old and 4mth old with me or tackling the shops on a weekend...dont know which is worse..lol

beckybrastraps · 21/04/2006 13:37

Sorry, apart from big boobs, we're not a match. And I know what you mean about the shopping hassle. Still, might be worth braving a weekend shop for something special. Often something you think will look awful turns out to be "the one".
