that won't scare the hell out of me?

I am not the person style marketing of any sort is aimed at. I don't have any money to spend. I don't live near many shops. I don't have a lot of time to spend either. I always buy from sales or ebay. I am 39.

I would like to look at some website, but frequently find myself, when looking at stylish things, panicking, feeling intimidated or feeling that nothing there translated into my life.

Is there anything out there I would enjoy?

Try Dressipi it's ace for browsing and is tailored to exactly what you want.

Also LoveFashionSales have email alerts which get me looking at different websites.

Have you tried blogs like 40bum ?

LaTrucha · 17/01/2013 06:49

Thanks. I haven't really looked at anything. I have used dressippi but I felt they got the styles for my shape all wrong (they kept recommending hugh neckline shift dresses which must look terrible on me). Maybe I'll try again/

I'll have a look at those links.

I did like a website I saw linked to on here once. It was pictures of people in the street looking lovely. I did find myself thinking, 'That's lovely. I''ll neve rwear that,' a lot though.

Not exactly sure what you are looking for, so forgive me if my links are unsuitable.

I really love this girls perspective, she has so many tips and thoughts to share about style, she is also a stylist (young, but her audience is mixed), curvy and a super lovely person. Her posts deal with literally everything concerned with beauty and style, and come from a really down to earth, honest perspective; def worth a read!

You might also like this, it is US centric but the forum and blog posts talk a lot about personal style, body shapes and so on:

youlookfab.com/

What I like about these two is that they are helpful, not just one person spending tons of money looking pretty IYSWIM? They focus on YOU and what you can personally achieve.

There are so many sites these days which is actually good for all of us. I often do my shopping on amazon and javari when I'm looking for shoes. The second one I like cos it sells many brands and don't have to look to many different sites. Also HM, zara.

LaTrucha · 17/01/2013 19:57

I'm not sure either TT Grin but thanks for the links. I shall look at htem all.

Soea the site I mentioned of photos of people in the street ring a bell with anyone. You could look up a city and then see photos of people from that city. I thought it was called stylespy but I can't find it.
