(Weather permitting) I am going out with friends this weekend for a long walk in the country, rounding off with lunch at a rural pub.
I am a proper townie. I am (fake) fur coat, skyscraper high heels and false eyelashes. I don't normally do the countryside, mud makes me weepy. I am however being pressganged by friends into trying something new, with the promise that available, eligible men will be present (I am a perennial singleton).
So I can scrape together a vaguely casual wardrobe, have even found wellies (if it's muddy) or Converse (if its not). But what I entirely lack is a casual coat.
Am thinking something khaki-ish, maybe a parka type thing, preferably with hood....any suggestions? Or indeed alternative ideas - all gratefully appreciated!
I did a quick recce of the high st shops today and nothing jumped out at me, but I may simply not have spent enough time looking!
