Help me find a dress for my 40th

I turn 40 soon and am having a party. Cocktails, nibbles hopefully followed by some dancing. So it can't be super formal/ballgown-esque but I want it to be special. I am a size 12, about 5.7. Brighter colours suit me - am thinking ideally something in the pink spectrum as it's kind of a girly themed party but anything a bit glitzy and wow.

V-necks suit me, I can get away with dresses knee-length or just above the knee but not mega short.

I just wore the dress in the pics on my profile for my 40th with these shoes, it was a similar affair to what you have planned, I felt fab and got lots of compliments...not sure whether you'd still get it in a sale somewhere if you like it, it's from Acne.

Love the petite s*** dress tethers, and what a bargain! Their stuff is amazing on, hidden corset definitely adds wow factor which I don't think you can appreciate from pics of it on a dummy.

I love that one too. Would wear it with red shoes and live up to its brandname
