Wet look/shiny leggings - yay or nay?

Want something to wear out thats not as dressy as trousers but not as casual as jeans.
Could i get away with wet look/shiny type leggings, long top and high heeled boots?

If not any other suggestions?

God no.

Look in Zara. They have thick skinny jean / leggings in dark matt colours with thick seams. Much better.

Coated skinnies, or leather/pleather?

I have some from Topshop which are a leather look. Was a bit unsure as I'm a 35 year old Mum of 2! I make sure I don't over dress them so I usually wear a dress/ Tunic over them with some ankle boots and a longer length cardigan or blazer. My dh loves them but I'm sure it's because he thinks they are sexy! Probably not any help to you but if you like them then you don't need opinions!

I don't like the at all, I think of sausages when I see people wear them!

Just find a smart pair of skinny jeans or dress up the rest of your outfit.

I am 37 and wear them all the time. You do need to try them on and to decide if you want trousers or leggings. I find leggings more forgiving comfort wise on the tummy because pleather trousers can be quite tight to give a proper fit but leggings don't hold everything in. I wear leggings for every day and trousers for going out. I have a great pair of leggings from M&S Limited Collection but I only wear them under dresses as there is no hold in them. My other two favourite pairs are from Topshop. I would order all the ones they have (5 or 6 pairs I think) and try them on in the comfort of your own home with the tops and shoes you think you will wear them with.
