Are M&S fragrances copies of well-known perfumes?

I have 'London' on one wrist and 'New York' on the other and they both remind me of other perfumes. Not ones I usually wear though so I can't identify them. Is this deliberate or is it just me?

Nope, they're copies. Google will tell you more.

i had 2 of them. found that they only lasted about 5 mins so whilst cheap to buy weren't actually that good value

They used to do a range that smelled exactly like eau dynamismante, it was really lovely

I think New York is supposed to smell like RL Safari. It did fade very quickly

They are like other perfumes but they arse not very good. I so miss being able to afford nice perfume.

MrsBradleyCooper · 15/01/2013 09:54

That makes sense as their make up used to be made by clarins. Not sure if it still is.

boxoftricks · 15/01/2013 09:55

Yes. The men's too. Friend is a perfumer. She tells me things!

I found this out via a website. Might have been money saving expert. If you type in smells like perfumes. Smells a like, something like that. They have a long thread about what smells like what. What I found out is actually they don't. Not really and they don't last very long.

perfume parlour is meant to be good, and cheap.

MaureenShit · 18/01/2013 09:51

levantine i remember that one - bought it a lot

LesBOFerables · 18/01/2013 09:54

I think their Isis was meant to be like Issy Miyake, wasn't it?
