Amazing service from Ward Walkers, how to recommend for Mumsnet Swears by?

Hi all, I just bought some FitFlop Due ballet pumps online from Ward Walkers. They do loads of advertising on different websites (I guess websites that remember what I've been browsing for) and I decided to give WW a go. Anyway, I ordered them 3.30pm yesterday (Friday), and they were just delivered at 12.30pm today (Saturday). And they're in Dundee. And they were the cheapest. And they don't charge for postage. I really think this is exceptional service, seriously impressed! Anyone else had a good experience with Ward Walkers? They deserve some recognition for this brilliant service, and I know lots of people get the Swears By newsletter. Hopefully others agree and will post. Just going to try on me new shoes! My 8th pair of FitFlops, I am completely sold on them. And now Ward Walkers as well. Not even my beloved John Lewis can match that.

I saw and am tempted by that offer. Which colour did you go for?

PS - I too have had good experience of Ward Walkers in past. Ordered some Fitflop sandals and they were not only well priced but arrived really fast. Excellent.

Thanks for the info Londonista. I had never heard of WW but have just been on the website. What an amazing range and great prices. I will definitely order some Ecco and Gabor once pay day arrives.

I've used them a couple of times for crocs for mywork the kids and work boots for DH. Brilliant. Hadn't realised they were only in Dundee though!

I order the ones Inky Blue, but they are very nearly black so will go with lots I hope. Almost went the cherry red, they look fab. I have been wearing them for an hour now, and have decided I like them. Though I am usually a perfect size 5 in FF, they are a touch roomy, maybe it's because they are ballet pump style, you want them to be snug to stay on your feet. It is freezing today though, so when its warmer and my feet swell (!) it will probably be fine. I would never normally have trusted an obscure e-tailer in Scotland, but I have been wanting to buy these for ages and at £90 a pop it was just too much, so when I saw these for £65 from WW I thought I would try.

Tho I should say, for me the true test of an e-tailer is when you need to return something. Absolutely must be no-quibble, and preferably free returns. I returned some shoes to Clarks 3 weeks ago, still waiting for credit. Thank goodness I got proof of postage.

dizzydixies - yes return address is Dundee. Tho I guess they could have dispatched from elsewhere? Maybe I should be bigging up Royal Mail instead!! first time for everything.

Thanks Londonista . In fact I'm agonising between blue and red ones. Useful to know the blue are so dark.

Londonista · 12/01/2013 18:42

i think if you looked at the inky blue in sunlight (fat chance at the mo) you would notice it's not black.
I do love my fitflops. I have 8 pairs now: 2 pairs mukluks, 2 pairs trainers, 3 pairs flip flops and now these. My husband says I need an intervention.
I have bad feet, and these have cured me so I'm happy.
Other ones I liked are the Sling ones but have decided to wait till summer to see what i need (guffaw!)

Yes, another positive experience here & they have to send mine to Europe. Great service & very good prices.

Londonista · 12/01/2013 19:29

E320 oh good!

I work for an e-trailer and we often get positive feedback on the speed of delivery. I've got to say that whilst our prompt despatch does contribute to quick receipt the credit is really due to Royal Mail. They get such a lot of flack but actually when you consider how many parcels they handle daily they are doing a really excellent job.
Good tip too though op, I'll check it out.
