Does your blusher go darker over the day?

I'm puzzled. My blusher - it's Bobbi Brown- seems to look brighter/darker ( more of it IYSWIM) as the day goes on.

Anyone know why? I apply what looks a decent amount in the morning then by lunchtime it looks really clown like.

Perhaps your foundation isn't staying put - meaning as it fades away your blusher looks more pronounced?

Or perhaps it is to do with the light?

Mine is the same, but because I apply in the semi dark and without glasses. In the full light I realise I look over-done!

MissBoPeep · 12/01/2013 14:16

Yes I was thinking it was because the foundation was melting away.

If you have oily skin, sometimes products will oxidise throughout the day as the oil comes through which can alter the colour.

Yes, sounds like it's oxidising if your skin is oily - a bit like some foundations will go orange during the day.

Have you thought about trying either a cream blush (then translucent powder over it to set) or using a primer to sit between your skin and your other makeup?

MissBoPeep · 12/01/2013 15:10

I don't have oily skin. I use a foundation with added moisture and sometimes I think it's too much. Maybe it's the foundation that is making it change colour. I do use a primer and always have done.

Do you powder between base and blusher?
