Please help with smart office outfits (not suits) on a budget

I am a curvy 16 (for now) and need help with what to wear for work in an office environment. I have worked at home for years and am finding it a bit of a minefield. I want to look smart and feminine without going over the top.

I would like to reuse some of my current wardrobe if possible. My current workwear consists of wide leg trousers in navy/grey and black with various tops. I'd like to look smart without wearing suits. I like long, elbow or capped sleeve lengths rather than 3/4 sleeves. I'm trying not to wear black.

I have a couple of knee-length sleeveless jersey dresses. I don't know how to style them for a (cold) office. I commute by train and so layers work well.

Can anybody help?

Go to matalan they have work clothes which are cheap. It sounds like you want to not be a size 16so pointless spending loads.

Primark have a great range and go up to size 20 now. I wear a lit of shift dresses for £12 from there with cardigans. They also have pencil skirts and blouses which work well on curvy
