got a few vouchers for Christmas from assorted in-laws, and am struggling to plough through page after page of acrylic blouses. would be keen to know if anyone's seen anything half-decent, before I spend the lot on cava and Percy Pigs.

Another vote for the jeggings, and I get my undies there too.

However, the Percy Pigs sound v.tempting.

I'm returning to work in a few weeks so I went and bought a couple of dresses (tailoring section) - not exciting, but they fit lovely. Otherwise, I was uninspired :(

Bunbaker · 12/01/2013 21:11

"am not wild about M&S lingerie - it never seems to fit my microbosoms"

I am not well endowed and find that M & S stock a wider range of small bras than anywhere else I have tried. Following on from some excellent bra threads on here I have changed my bra size from 34A to 32B.

LadyIsabellaWrotham · 12/01/2013 21:23

Oh, Bunbaker, we are Bra Twins Grin have just made the exact same switch.

Agree that Autograph shoes are often good, and their basic loafers/ballet flats are useful though not exciting.

JumpHerWho · 12/01/2013 22:49

Can someone link the jeggings?

polyhymnia · 12/01/2013 23:56

Second Autograph tights and the Lyn harris perfumes as well as their cashmere.

Here. Although I must say I bought some in September that were lovely and then bought some again in a different colour and they're not as nice. Definitely try them on in the shop first. Don't just order online like I did and not bother to send them back.

brighthair · 13/01/2013 01:32

5 pocket jeggings Grin
The limited edition court shoes (ignore name) I have the nude and they are v comfy and £19 ish
I got a bird print scarf that was pretty, not sure if they still have it in
Pyjamas/dressing gown?

CharlotteBronteSaurus · 13/01/2013 08:40

thanks again for all the ideas
sounds like the jeggings are a must try
will definitely be looking at shoes and beauty

Watch the view from behind of the jeggings, I tried them on and I looked like I had loads of cellulite and I'm fortunate not to have any!

MaureenShit · 13/01/2013 10:06

why not just buy some primark $7 jeans? are supersoft and comfy and almost disposable.

If you want thicker get some Topshop baxters. Mind you I never find any trousers to fit in M and S

Have ordered the coat, was looking all autumn for a new one and that looks a beaut

MaureenShit · 13/01/2013 10:07

that "leather" jacket too - look at that

MaureenShit · 13/01/2013 10:08

scarlet - is it this one? its nice - is it baggy?

Some bigger markses have new, posh beauty halls, that stock all kinds of cult ranges. If you can't spend sixty quid in there then we'd like your membership card back :)

The Gyle in Edinburgh has it, if that's any use.

PurplePidjin · 13/01/2013 10:17

I bought some gorgeous teal babycord skinnies from Indigo on Friday. Been sitting on the voucher since August!

RooneyMara · 13/01/2013 10:17

I saved mine up for a couple of years and bought a dualit.

anything branded and not M&S will prob be Ok. Can't stand the clothes Sad

trikken · 13/01/2013 10:24

we got m&s vouchers a couple of years ago and I could not find any clothes I liked so ended up buying mario kart for the wii and mamamia on dvd.

trikken · 13/01/2013 10:26

mamma mia even.

Bunbaker · 13/01/2013 10:31

I find M & S inconsistent - in sizing and range. I always buy my undies there as I can't fault them. My dressing gown and one pair of my pjs are M & S as well and are fantastic. Sometimes I go in there and can't find anything I like, and sometimes I feel like I could spend £££. I like that jumper you linked to Scented, but its a pity it is only 3/4 length sleeve (another bugbear of mine). When I am cold I like my wrists covered and when it is warm enough to not need sleeves I don't want to wear a jumper.

PastaDee · 13/01/2013 14:15

I buy nice clothes for DD in there..... I'd buy a load of stuff for her (14 months) with the vouchers and take the cash from the joint account to spend on myself somewhere more to my taste!

Failing that Percy and Cava sounds great Grin

CharlotteBronteSaurus · 13/01/2013 19:55

i have got 2 v.nice nail polishes (grey and bronzey), a new dark red lippy, and some dull grey work trousers that will possibly end up going back

couldn't decide between the black courts linked here, or some animal print ones, so will have a think and pop back next week.
