Mulberry daria vs effie satchel

Having decided that my first post should be something worthwhile (!) I wonder if anyone could let me have their opinions re which bag they prefer and why. Having trouble deciding. Definitely want the cross body option but will be first mulberry in a number of years! Want it to be right! Thanks

If, as I think, the Daria is the one with a massive 'gold' metal disc on the front with a 'tree' motif on it, I personally would avoid that one as too bling and something that you could easily tire of. Something subtler would be much classier and better, IMHO.

Eddie is the nicer of the two but I would suggest an Alexa. Much more classic design.

I meant Effie, obviously..

Agree that you might tire of the 'in your face bling' of the gold daria plaque. That said, Effie is rather boring looking. Agree that Alexa would be a much better option and will look current for a long time to come.

I have an Alexa and whilst I love the look of it, the soft buffalo leather has made it look really scruffy and misshapen as it has aged.

I was also deliberating over the effie and daria. Have decided to wait for the new effie that is coming out in February, which I think is nicer than the original.

I am an effie fan. I haven't seen the new one that's coming out....

I have a Daria satchel, and I love it. I have to admit to being put off by the gold disc, but actually, it's bothered me less than I thought it would (though I do worry about it being a bit in your face). I particularly like the versatility of the handle, and find it quite cavernous inside.

I don't use it every day (got it last Xmas), I use a large Anthony for that, but when it comes out, I really enjoy it (and actually, I've been using it quite a lot so far this month).

Thank you ladies. I was thinking of buying the petrol blue daria so the metal is actually gunmetal and does not look too bling as that was my concern too. The Effie also just has a tree motif in the leather so no bling either. Shall have to check the other recommendations. An excited!
