If you were turning 40, what would you like as a present?

My sister's birthday next month. BIG ONE. Budget up to £200, hopefully less Blush

She's the first in my little circle of f&f to turn 40, so I have no experience.

Help/advice if you pretty please?

You can go wrong with a spa day or experience, I can't think of anything I'd less rather for the weekend than a spa day, so you need to pick very carefully, or leave the options open for her to choose within a type of experience. Also ensure that the budget means she can take her partner/you/a friend without incurring extra expense and that babysitting is a possibility if needed.

My wishlist would be:

A cookery or other craft course of my choice
Theatre/hotel vouchers again of my choice.
A Kindle
Jewellery (chosen by me)

I did 40 presents for dh. It did take a lot of time hunting around for stuff and the postman got sick of delivering parcels but it was worth it.

I got a gorgeous necklace from a group of close friends and a pretty bracelet from my children, every time I wear these, I think of them Smile

Dh once brought me a pretty pearl bracelet which has a heart charm on t with the kids names engraved. It came from Not On The High Street, they have lots of nice individual or personalised bits on there
