Bargain Joules dress... How to dress it up?

So, I got a bargain this morning:

Could I wear it to a christening this month? Is it smart enough? If so has anyone got any ideas of how to dress it up either with a jacket, jewellery or shoes?

You could definitely wear that to a christening! It's a bit K-Middy engagement dress, isn't it? I like navy with cobalt, so maybe navy opaques and shoes, and silver jewellery?

I think I've got it. Navy tights and shoes, some sort of big necklace and no wellies.
