top left, spotty one

im considering this dress for a summer wedding, i tried it on and the material is nice, they also have it in petite if you need

Bella23 · 19/04/2006 13:59

I think its nice for people to make a real effort for a wedding so would vote for the dress. It looks fab

Tutter · 19/04/2006 14:00

that, actually, is very nice. but a bit cleavage-y for my icing bags methinks. plus 90% of my wardrobe doesn't go with black - tend to go for browns - so have feck all black accessories.

the next dress isnt black its navy and white

the cleavage bit is well cut (i have big tits too and it fitted well)

sorry, the pink dress isnt my cup of tea, but old fashioned Blush

nailpolish · 19/04/2006 14:17

BIT

not but old fashioned

Tutter · 19/04/2006 14:19

i kind of thought that too actually, about being old-fashioned. find it diff to choose dresses.

would actually prefer to find something more tailored and less floaty - prob more flattering for a post-baby tum. that's prob why i thought of trousers + jacket in the first place.

navy and white better - will have another look...

if you like brown what about

\link{http://search.next.co.uk/search?p=Q&srid=S5%2d4&lbc=next&ts=custom&w=dress&uid=598647326&cnt=12&method=and&isort=score&images=on&nxti=0&nxtv=0&np=18&nb=X37&srt=24\this}

top row, third from left 'crinkle ditsy print'

Tutter · 19/04/2006 14:24

nice shape

but 100% cotton so maybe a bit plain - you know, a bit everyday - for a wedding

OP posts:
nailpolish · 19/04/2006 14:26

yes i know what you mean

MrsBadger · 19/04/2006 15:16

like the idea of dress better than trouser suit - usu also cheaper (though may get less wear)

Also like the idea of something in the brown spectrum (am a no-black girl too) - natural straw-coloured hat/bag/shoes combo v handy and will go with lots of different dresses in the future, could also dress up what otherwise might be a handy summer day dress.

Some pretty things in Principles, Dorothy Perkins (quite like \link{http://www.dorothyperkins.co.uk/cgi-bin/product.cgi?prodid=DMH57\this}) and Debenhams but not much in Next.

Esmummy · 19/04/2006 15:19

Found some gorgeous dresses in Oasis at the weekend and not too young lookng either, was out with a friend shopping for my wedding. they have a red or black with vneck front and back with a crinkled sort of material with satin band under the bust. they also had very simlar one in black and white spots.

Tutter · 19/04/2006 16:50

MrsB - that is rather spooky - I saw that dotty p's dress last week when i was mooching about online, and had forgotten about it. i think it's lovely - pretty without being too fussy.

i can get to an oasis this w/end Esmum - may check out their dresses - although last time i went in there i felt about 20 years too old for it!

OP posts:
nailpolish · 19/04/2006 16:52

that dotty p dress is nice - you could get loads of cool accessories for that

and you could definitely wear it again - would be very versatile

cod · 19/04/2006 16:52

MrsBadger · 19/04/2006 16:56

was going to mention Coast but the 'Not really a dressy person' in the original post made me think again - their dresses tend to be very, well, dressy.

nailpolish · 19/04/2006 16:56
