That's my quest... Any ideas?

My favourites are:
Clarins Extra Firming Day (cream or lotion)
Aromatherapy Associates rose & sandalwood face oil (use this in the summer months)
Mama Mio skincare range

I just don't feel that creams really do it - it's serums that seem to work for me. I focus on a nice serum and then use a light cream on top. Favourite serum for night at the moment is the Estee Lauder advanced night repair, and for morning, extra firming botanical serum from Clarins.

this stuff. Seriously. Ive been using it both in cooking and as a moisturiser for my face, which has really improved my skin condition in less than 2 weeks, and on my legs which has really cleared my KP up loads.

BinksToEnlightenment · 08/01/2013 19:38

I'm watching this with interest!

strumpetpumpkin · 08/01/2013 19:41

i wanted to add that i used to use eucerin hyaluronic filler for years which was pretty good, but basic coconut oil is better and a fraction of the price.

MadameOvary · 08/01/2013 19:43

Apologies for thread hijack but strumpetpumpkin I have KP too and so does my 4 yr old DD, I have a tub of this very stuff! Thank you!

Eliza22 · 08/01/2013 20:22

So, you can eat it, condition your hair with it and slather on, as a moisturiser?

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 12/01/2013 16:15

yes yes to coconut oil, a million uses, even as an appetite supresser apparently. I buy mine from amazon

I recently bought Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream, and my skin looks and feels lovely for the first time in eons. I bought it in a bargain set of Elemis' award winning products, not sure I'll be able to keep up with the rrp though.

Gingefringe · 12/01/2013 16:54

What is KP?

MaureenShit · 12/01/2013 16:55

none work fgs

get some botox

NotMostPeople · 12/01/2013 17:54

I started using retin a and am starting to see a real difference to pores and wrinkles.

IslaValargeone · 12/01/2013 18:13

Where do you get that from NotMostPeople ?

NotMostPeople · 12/01/2013 20:08

Well you book an appointment with a dermatologist who no doubt charges a fortune for both the consultation and the retine a. Or you buy it on eBay having read a thread a few months ago on MN Grin. The sellers name is Facebay and I promise it's not me.

NigellasGuest · 12/01/2013 20:19

I was prescribed Retin-A ages ago, in the eighties I think, for acne. It worked a treat and made my skin amazing, but after a while I reacted to it and it just made me itchy.
Has the formulation been changed since then, do you think, NotMostPeople?

NotMostPeople · 12/01/2013 22:28

I've no idea I'm afraid I only just started using it in the last few months. I did lots of reading online and started with the lowest strength and only every three nights, then alternate nights and eventually every night. My skin was dry and flaky to start with which if you read up on it is normal and the reason lots of people give up onit. Howeve once I got past that stage I began to have no reaction. I also have a Clarisonic and found that great for getting rid of the flakiness. I've also stopped using Amy moisturiser with glycolic acid or similar as it all get a bit too much so I've been using rosehip oil or a gentle moisturiser.

It's not an easy solution but I'm starting to see some good results.

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/01/2013 22:34

Rosé hip oil made my face hair go dark and thicker. I use it on my hands now.

It took about 3months to have this effect though.

Porkster · 12/01/2013 22:36

The best anti wrinkle face cream

is

Botox.

Nothing else gets rid of lines.

NotMostPeople · 12/01/2013 22:50

Fluffycloudland - that's scary I'll look out for that, I'm such a sheep that I'm already thinking of switching to coconut oil asits mentioned in another current thread.

IslaValargeone · 13/01/2013 15:22

Except Botox is not an anti wrinkle face cream

It's a Neuro toxin.

sue52 · 13/01/2013 16:08

Elemis pro marine collagen is worth every penny. It's made a visable improvement to my dry, a bit wrinkly and 60 year old skin.

Porkster · 13/01/2013 16:56

I know, I was being a smartarse re Botox. Grin

My 2 close friends (38 and 41) use Crème de la Mer which is £100 for a small pot. It's meant to be one of the best creams you can buy.

Yet they both have lines around their eyes and on their foreheads. I have Botox once a year and have no lines, and I can move my forehead.

FamiliesShareGerms · 13/01/2013 17:05

I can't seem to find a night cream or serum that is rich enough to tackle lines and wrinkles without my skin breaking out in spots. Yes, I have both wrinkles and acne Sad

Branleuse · 13/01/2013 17:06

i get botox in my number 11s every 7 or 8 months. its great. makes me look much less haggard and frowny .
the coconut oil has improved my skin texture, shrunk the pores on my cheeks and given me radiance but there's not really any cream that will remove wrinkles. The only thing does that is wrinkles, dermal fillers or getting fat :)

timidviper · 13/01/2013 17:08

I don't seem to be getting lines but am going generally baggy! I have tried lots of stuff and am about to start a Lancome cream I got for Xmas
