inspiration from Celine Dion at the Oscars

Gigondas · 08/01/2013 14:53

This my mums 1977 curtains

Gigondas · 08/01/2013 14:54

I am not even sure that is the worst colour on that pencil skirt.

GetorfsaMotherfuckingMorrisMan · 08/01/2013 14:54

I know all clothes shops use young models, but what always surprises me about Boden is that their models are exclusively (it seems) willowy young girls with no hips when their core demographic is women in their 40s with a bit of a tummy.

Gigondas · 08/01/2013 14:55

Be fair they did use that well known typical 40 something Helena Christensen last time getorf.

Oh yes I forgot about Helena.

I take it all back.

Gigondas · 08/01/2013 14:58

She is just like us- many a time has she posted on here about whether she is wearing mum boots, what is nice to buy in Aldi and Aibu to hate soft play.

GetorfsaMotherfuckingMorrisMan · 08/01/2013 14:59

Helena has a normal life. She was on here just before Christmas moaning about having to cook for her MIL, and how many sausage rolls from Morrisons she should get.

HolofernesesHead · 08/01/2013 15:01

I quite like the 1977 curtains dress.

The shirt reminds me of Alice from the Vicar of Dibly Grin

BranchingOut · 08/01/2013 15:02

Oh good lord that dress!

That will be gracing the sale in a few months time.
I love Boden but do wonder whether too many Pimms are dished out at Boden HQ some lunchtimes....

Gigondas · 08/01/2013 15:02

I think she is on the thread about how many bins do you put out each week now.

Grin At vicar of dibley dress

GetorfsaMotherfuckingMorrisMan · 08/01/2013 15:02

lol at contraception dress

ScaredySquirrel · 08/01/2013 15:06

good for the Amish look on the school run

actually I did think some of the pointy shoes are quite nice... but why they persist with the god awful prints I don't know.

madammecholet · 08/01/2013 15:27

Total frumpsville.... Once heard Johnnie saying his 'ladies' don't show cleavage or anything above the knee. He lost me there and then.

MissBoPeep · 08/01/2013 16:03

I have almost lost faith with them now.

received my order today- 2 ghastly dresses- the Adelaide dress and one other similar. Both are poor quality and an odd fit and not worth the ££ even with 20% discount. The suede plimsolls in grey are spoilt by pink stitching which I didn't notice online.

101handbags · 08/01/2013 16:04

Oh my... that Contraception dress is hideous, as is the Amish one... and I thought I'd found the worst thing. This new range really does have some shockers.

Chandon · 08/01/2013 16:17

I like the Amish dress (have a similar one from toast) and the 77 curtain dress! It is the sort of stuff I wear in summer. ( am 40, but in denial with long hair, and long legs so most dresses just are too sexy for the school run...step in Boden!)

I have even had compliments on them, by...insincere people who then point and laugh behind my back?! Shock

whateveritakes · 08/01/2013 16:29

The 1977 curtain dress is vile! It looks like something in polyester from somewhere for the poor and forgotten over 60's.

DonaAna · 08/01/2013 16:32

I wonder whether M&S laid off some designers (last Per Una collection had a couple decent pieces - they might have) and they found new jobs at Boden Grin
